And with the autumn season come activities that may especially be of interest to visitors at Camp Stonewall. The first is watching for raptors at Jacks Mountain Hawkwatch overlook, a bird watching spot of some renown, just behind and above our cabin (a nearly ten mile drive if you don't wish to brave a steep 4/10 mile hike!) Which brings us to the second autumn action that we're suggesting - viewing the splendor of fall foliage on Jacks and surrounding mountains and forests. Jacks Mountain Hawkwatch vista, along with various other local picturesque spots, is an ideal place to savor the view but if you'd delight in a few hours long "tour" of wonderful fall scenery we'd recommend, as does Google, a twisting roughly thirty mile drive from Lewistown to Thompsontown. Let us know how you enjoyed the trip!
